About This Course

This course is a series of reflective exercises which allows the participants to identify critical aspects about their life that will help them in their life journey. The course takes a minimum of 5-6 hours to complete (it is recommended that the participant takes at least a one hour break in between exercises for reflection) and consists of three modules: Purpose, Passion, and Mission in Life.

This is a critical foundation course for university students, entrepreneurs, career changers, and as a prep for college-ready high schoolers. The below outline provides examples of the course learning objectives:

Course Learning Objectives Include:

  • Define and describe the importance of reflection
  • Reflect on personal life challenges and achievements
  • Identify your strengths
  • Understand the importance of personal values in guiding lifestyle choices
  • Identify your skills to make better career choices
  • Recognize how to build confidence
  • Give examples of your top passions
  • Analyze purpose and passion outcomes to create a personal mission statement

Some additional details:

  • This course is based on the first part of the signature Social Entrepreneurship training course delivered by Dr. Sarah Ghaleb to thousands of Saudi entrepreneurs since 2010.
  • A portion of the content is inspired by the National Career Development Society (NCDS) standards.
  • The delivery of the content uses a variety of techniques including gamification, reflection, examples, analysis, review, research outcomes, and process of elimination to learn the information.

Sarah Mohammad Ghaleb, Ed.D.

Dr. Sarah has been leading training, social science research/evaluation, and entrepreneurship development for over 10 years. She has a list of professional accomplishments that reflect her commitment to the design, development, and evaluation of social programming; particularly as it relates to sustainable innovation and entrepreneurship. She co-founded Naqa’a Sustainability Solutions, one of the first social enterprises in the Kingdom, to address the pressing social and environmental needs in Saudi Arabia.

Alongside this role, she became the SGM of Education and Entrepreneurship Initiatives at Community Jameel-the CSR arm of the Abdul Latif Jameel Group. There she continued her entrepreneurship-related work through supporting a variety of programs including Bab Rizq Jameel and leading the MIT Enterprise Forum Saudi Chapter.

She is currently the Head of Entrepreneurship & Innovation Ecosystem at Aramco’s Wa’ed and will continue to support Saudi entrepreneurs in this role. Dr. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English-Technical Writing and Editing from George Mason University, a Master in Education Leadership also from George Mason University, and a doctorate in Higher Education Administration from The George Washington University.
